In a year plagued by soaring interest rates and stagnant sales activity, Matthews™ Capital Markets Division continued to make strides, adding industry veterans and expanding its scope of business and expertise.

Investing in Partnership

As a company, we continued to prioritize relationship building within the industry, adding several lenders to our deal roster. Notably, we became correspondent lenders with several prominent correspondent life insurance companies. We continue to expand our lending relationships to be able to deliver best-in-market financing for our clients.

Leveling Up in Experience

With the continuation of our rapid growth and deal volume over the past two years, we added several commercial financing experts to our team, including Ariel Zucker, Andrew Marcus, and Luke Thompson. With these hires came the expansion of MCM’s presence into the East Coast and the hospitality sector.

Closing Deals Against the Odds

Commercial real estate faced several challenges in 2024, including one of the most difficult lending environments since the Great Financial Crisis and a decline in transaction activity in the majority of major asset classes.
