Hollywood, FL— Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, recently completed the sale of “USA Storage” facility located in Hollywood, Florida. The storage facility was purchased by UTEX Storage Partners, an investment company with offices in Dallas, Texas and Draper, Utah. Associate Vice President Austin McLeod and Market Leader and Vice President Johnny Blue Craig brokered the transaction.

Matthews™ represented the seller, Parkstone Capital, a private equity group based out of New York that focuses on acquiring distressed commercial real estate assets. The facility consists of over 400 units and 41,475 rentable square feet. The buyer, UTEX Storage Partners, formerly known as Wasatch Storage Partners – achieved its first acquisition with plans to continue its expansion in markets throughout the United States.

“We utilized strategic social media and email marketing campaigns to reach a national buyer pool, which resulted in 13 total offers from buyers all throughout the country,” said McLeod.

Craig said, “The self-storage industry is dominating, with sales volume in 2021 increasing 180 percent from 2020, reaching $23.6 billion. The Florida market has experienced exponential growth, catapulting the commercial real estate sector, specifically in self-storage.”
