Serving as First Vice President – Capital Markets, David Treadwell specializes in commercial real estate financing throughout Colorado and the surrounding regions for Matthews™ Capital Markets. He brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and capital markets, completing more than $1 billion in transactional volume since 2010. David’s extensive experience working on origination and structuring debt and equity opportunities makes him a well-trusted asset at Matthews™, acting as a powerhouse in assisting his clients throughout their deals. David’s strong leadership ability, stellar communicative skills, and extensive experience in the industry make him a well–trusted leader at Matthews™.
David began his career in Capital Markets in 2010, learning the fundamentals of the business at Johnson Capital. In 2012, he began working with CBRE for seven years and moved up in rankings to First Vice President. In 2019, David joined Newmark Knight Frank (NFK) to create the Denver office’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt and Structured Finance team. He served as Senior Managing Director there, specializing in financial advisory services for multifamily apartments, industrial, office, medical office, retail, and hospitality properties. As a former commercial real estate attorney with a background in land development, David brings a unique skill set and leadership to Matthews™. His extensive experience in the industry puts him in a great position to provide insight and market knowledge that is pivotal to Matthews’ continued growth and success.
David is the former placekicker for the Denver Broncos and New York Giants. He was a Pro Bowl placekicker and received All-AFC and All-Rookie honors in addition to starting in Super Bowl XXIV. At the collegiate level, David was a consensus All-American for the Tiger Football team where he is a member of the Clemson University Athletic Hall of Fame. Extremely active in the Denver civic community since 1989, David currently serves on the board of the Denver Broncos Alumni Association where he was a past president and has received numerous awards for his charitable contributions. Family is the highlight of David’s life; he is happily married with three wonderful children.
